Memories To Last A Lifetime At The SGI Hall Of The Great Vow
If you are planning to visit the Hall of the Great Vow (HoGV) 大聖堂 Daiseido, please secure a Letter of Introduction from your home country’s SGI office. Otherwise, you won’t be able to visit. The Soka Gakkai Headquarters Building, or the Hall of the Great Vow 大聖堂 Daiseido, is dedicated to world peace.
Hall of the Great Vow (HoGV) 大聖堂 Daiseido Soka Gakkai Japan Shinanomachi Tokyo
Thanks to my mother’s advice, I went straight to the Josei Toda Center from Shinanomachi 信濃町駅 Station to receive my ticket for the Hall of the Great Vow around 10:30 am — quite early. You never how crowded the Hall of the Great Vow may be that day, so it’s best to go earlier than later to secure your ticket!
The Meeting at the SGI Hall of the Great Vow 大聖堂 Daiseido
Every foreign guest has a short presentation about how to use the iPad for the Hall of the Great Vow, the surrounding building that are open to visitors, and general instruction such as “no taking photos except in these designated areas.” After the mini introduction, you learn more details about when you may enter the Hall of the Great Vow, which was 1:30 pm (13:30) for me.
The gongyo starts promptly at 2:30 pm (14:30), every Tuesday-Saturday. And some meetings have over 100 foreigners in attendance. At my meeting, we had about 33 foreigners and ~650 Japanese members. The Hall of the Great Vow had the capacity to seat double, if not triple that number.
What It’s Like To Intern At A Japanese Tech Company In Tokyo?
Without a doubt, I am thrilled to be working in Tokyo for a Japanese startup called PhoneAppli, a company that specializes in cloud collaboration technology. I mean…how cool is that? All of my core passions are combined into this experience — learning and experiencing new things, plus working in the dynamic world of technology. One of the many tech companies in Tokyo, PhoneAppli is no google japan internship, but it is a Japanese tech company that offers internships in Tokyo.
Working in the Heart of the Japanese Technology Market
Plus, my research area is all about female entrepreneurship and empowerment. For example, after a recent interview with Yuka Fujii, founder of Famarry – an online platform to select the best photographers and packages for ideal wedding photography and more, she introduced me to her co-working colleagues. While some were Japanese entrepreneurs, there were a few foreigners, including a Content Marketer at Tech in Asia – a premier conference for tech fans in Asia, and a CEO of a financial investment company. While the Asian tech market is definitely smaller than Silicon Valley, as nothing really compares to that environment … yet, it’s definitely a booming industry.
Even the company that I landed an internship with, PhoneAppli – a cloud collaboration directory platform that has the No. 1 market share in Japan, has a grand vision for the future. It’s expanding its market share by launching new products in the unified communications, computer telephony interface, and even the wearable IoT market. Plus, PhoneAppli is partnering with multinational companies such as Microsoft and Salesforce.
The Essential Guide For Traveling Overnight In Japan
What’s It Like to Ride on a Night Bus? The Essential Guide for Traveling Overnight in Japan.
Towards the end of June, I rode my first overnight yakkou bus in Japan. Although many Kyoto University students ride this inexpensive type of bus for long-distance travel, very few will recommend it. As such, I asked around, read an online blog, and figured out how I could make it the best experience possible. After all, I relish new experiences and this was most definitely, a unique experience.
